God Can’t Help You

Here I am screaming once again,
yelling to the gods for my suffering to end.
Voice high pitched, I ask once more,
within a second I’m crying on the floor.
I’m frightened and shaking in a ball,
cornered tightly against a wall.
I’ve finished wasting my breathe,
god can’t help, not now at this depth.
